HALMA BOARD GAME CIRCA 1910 |

Good example of Halma by F H Ayres. The game was invented in America in 1880 and can be played by three or four players (See summary of rules of play, photographed). The Board made of rigid board with gilt tooling; the box of pieces in polished mahogany, the slide-top lid having a beautifully illustrated lithographed paper label with figures of Greek warriors. The word Halma comes from the Greek - jump. Hence this strategy game is liked by many chess players.
