RARE 1895 DEXTERITY PUZZLE: THE EGG OF THE COLUMBUS: D.R.G.M AND D.R.P
It is mentioned in Professor Hoffmann's catalogue of 18th century puzzles in his collection and one of the rarer examples to find.
The silver egg is irregularly weighted and it is difficult to manoeuvre the egg into the correct position not only to get it in the hole, but with the pointed side down.
It is in good condition for age, with the glass and the mirrored back in tact with no cracks etc. There is some age-related ware to the tin banding in one section.
