This unusual set of chunky double-six, red (more a burgundy), bakelite dominoes with cream dots and brass rivets (spinners) is contained in the most beautiful inlaid wooden box.
Showing Indian influence in its design, six different woods are used as well as bone and the sliding lid has a nicely turned bone handle. It has the inlaid design to all facets except the underside, which still has the remains of the retailer's label which reads, 'La Concha, naime ..... Palma' So made for the tourist market - grand tour.
Measures 16 x 6.25 x 7cms deep.
