JAQUES ASCOT: 1880 - 1920 Four-Horse version seen here. Each horse has the same length thread attached to the spindle. Horses are carried on the baize lid and unravel from the spindle at the same rate. When all in line, handle is wound and the first horses nose to touch the front of the box is the winner. A different one wins each time - so place your bets! Price £195
MINORU by Jaques. 1880 - 1940s. This is the lovely, large wooden-boxed version, with beautiful paper label is complete with betting slip, bone betting counters, metal horses, cards etc. In excellent condition. All of the horses complete - no broken tails!! Price 220. Cardboard-boxed versions available from £65, so please enquire.
SANDOWN by Jaques 1880 - 1920: This is the smallest of the versions. A roulette-style betting game in a beautiful, hinged, mahogany box which reveals a glass-covered roulette wheel which is divided into illustrations of different named horses. Complete with cards, counters, betting sheet etc. Beautifully made with Ivorine label to lid, along with original winning post which is inserted in slot on inside when closed. This small version £150. Larger versions in stock
