Large (9 x 5 cms), heavy (112 grams) 1970s Italian brass and cold enameled paper clip. Very strong Spring action.
The design and colourways of bronze, burnt orange, green, brown and cream enamel lend sympathetic and striking background to the central design of the roundels. The two roman heads, one helmeted, the other not are in brass relief with find detail. A beautiful and practical item.
In excellent condition. Please note however that the bottom circumference of the unhelmeted side the brass edge has a small wave approx 1cm long, only visible when looking end on. It could well have b.een a manufacturing fault, as none of the enamel is cracked or missing.
