GERMAN CLOCKWORK, TINPLATE,PECKING CHICKEN IN WOODEN EGG C. 1940s

Delightful item. Would make a good Christening present. The painted wooden egg which measures 4" (10 cms) is origiginal and integral to the German tinplate clockwork chicken; the manufacturer probably outsourced the egg and the chicken and itsd original key and packing sit neatly inside. When wound the action of the chicken is vigorous and it taps its beak up and down as it moves around.
